The first year of the Cougar. Cougar Club Of America speculates
Only about 5% of 67 Cougars are left on the road. Most of the
165,000 built the first year are in Mercury Heaven. Secondly, an
XR-7 option was only available after the first of the year. Out of 27,000
XR-7's only an estimated 3,100 were an XR-7 GT. Or out of 7,905 GT
Cougars 3,100 had the XR-7 option
